Graduate Development Programme

If you’re a graduate, this is your chance to try different roles, and be part of the political events that will shape the future of our nation. For two to four years, you'll work with politicians from across the political spectrum, helping to scrutinise government policy and support the UK's parliamentary processes.

Apprenticeships

Whether you're just starting out, considering a career change, or you want to learn something new, our apprenticeships could be your ideal next step. You’ll get to earn while you learn, and do a real job as well as studying for a formal qualification at no cost to you. It’s a great way to hone your skills and become an expert at what you do.

Work experience

If you’re still at school, and you want to gain some work experience or figure out where your interests could take you, these placements are ideal. You’ll get a rare insight into the workings of Parliament. You’ll understand more about what we do, and you’ll learn more about what you’re great at.

Sandwich scheme

If you’re an undergraduate, our Undergraduate Sandwich Student Placement is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience of life at the House of Commons.

To be eligible, you must either:

  • be enrolled on a four-year degree course where you complete your placement in your third year
  • be in a degree which allows you to complete a sandwich placement for the full duration of the placement.
