ParliREACH

ParliREACH is the Workplace Equality Network (WEN) for race, ethnicity and cultural heritage in Parliament.

ParliREACH was established in 2013 with the aim to provide a platform where underrepresented groups can find support and where equality objectives can be progressed. ParliREACH is open to anyone who have an interest in race, ethnicity and cultural heritage issues, regardless of whether you share a relevant protected characteristic.

ParliREACH's objectives

  • To advocate for the recruitment, development and retention of staff from under-represented groups.
  • To provide a support network to our members in the workplace.
  • To host professional, networking, and social events.

We work with both the Inclusion and Diversity teams in the Houses of Lords and Commons toward meeting both Houses’ equality and inclusion objectives; to diversify Parliament, both in terms of our colleagues and public audience, and to create an inclusive working environment that reflects the democracy it serves.

Membership

All parliamentary passholders, including Commons and Lords colleagues, MPs and Peers and their staff, and contractors are welcome to join ParliREACH. Membership is not restricted to people who require a platform relating to this WEN but those involved are required to respect the aims of the Network.
