Conservation project shortlisted for award

We are thrilled to announce that our conservation of two waterglass wall paintings by Daniel Maclise in the Royal Gallery has made the shortlist for Restoration/Conservation Project of the year at the Museums + Heritage Awards!

Conservation work

This film is the first in a series that will follow the exciting project to conserve and relight Daniel Maclise's monumental wall paintings in the Royal Gallery, House of Lords.

Historic furniture and decorative arts

The Historic Furniture and Decorative Arts collection is cared for by an on-site team of expert staff. They look after almost 11,000 items of historic furniture, clocks, silver and ceramics across the Parliamentary Estate.

St Mary Undercroft

St Mary Undercroft was almost completely rebuilt as part of Charles Barry's New Palace of Westminster, on the same footprint as the old St Mary's, with St Stephen's Hall above it.

Augustus Pugin

Augustus Pugin designed a huge variety of different fixtures and fittings from enormous stained glass windows to sturdy sofas; from beautiful desks to intricate doorknobs.
