Stained glass design

Ballantine and Allen were stained glass manufacturers based in Edinburgh.  Ballantine submitted these designs for the House of Lords Chamber to the Royal Commission of Fine Arts in 1844 and was recommended by them to design and make the windows.  The firm did produce the majority of the windows, but ultimately to W.N Pugin's design rather than their own.
