Financial provision for Spencer Perceval's family

The day after the assassination of Spencer Perceval both the House of Lords and the House of Commons, at the instigation of the Prince Regent, resolved to make financial provision for Perceval's family which included twelve children.  An Act of Parliament passed in 1812 granted the family £50,000; an annual sum of £2,000 was awarded to his widow Jane.
