Norman Hall completed. First table made of wood.

King Henry III's interior refurbishments of Westminster Hall: Table, seat and dais constructed in Purbeck Marble.

1290
Wooden furniture made for the Courts in the Hall. South wall painted green.

1307
Coronation of Edward II. New piece of marble supplied for table-top by Adam of Corfe.

1320
Wooden court furniture renewed.

1399
Purbeck Marble had cracked. Top repaired with three long iron cramps and new support made for Henry IV's coronation.

1509
Coronation Banquet of King Henry VIII and Queen Katherine of Aragon. Tudor chronicler Edward Hall records 'nine-piece table'.

1533
Coronation Banquet of Anne Boleyn. King Henry VIII watches his new queen from a window to the east of the dais.

1559
Coronation Banquet of Queen Elizabeth I.

1649-60
Commonwealth. King Charles I's trial and execution. King's High Table later broken up.

Restoration of the monarchy. Construction of new dais for Coronation Banquet of King Charles II. Re-use of broken up table in foundations of new dais.

Fragments of one support discovered by Arnold Taylor of the Ministry of Works.
