Letter from Lloyd George to King George V

Following the allied victory in 1918, Lloyd George remained Prime Minister and played a key part in the negotiations at the Paris Peace Conference which began on 18 January 1919.  The Treaty of Versailles, which officially ended the war between Germany and the Allies, was signed on 28 June 1919. 

This is a letter from Lloyd George informing King George V that the Treaty of Peace had been signed.

On 5th August 1919, King George V awarded Lloyd George the Order of Merit for his services both during the war and for securing peace.
