Frank Kearton (1911-1992)

Frank Kearton, a Crossbench life peer from 1970, was a scientist and industrialist who worked on the atomic bomb project in the 1940s.

A fellow of the Royal Society he drew on his wide-ranging knowledge in the Lords and served on several select committees on a wide range of issues including European affairs, energy and manufacturing, science and technology, and overseas trade.
