Sponsoring legislation: Death Penalty

Barbara Wootton, an expert in criminology and penal reform, was the first woman peer to be created. In this letter she asks for support for Sidney Silverman's Abolition of the Death Penalty Bill which had passed in the Commons; Wootton was sponsoring it in the House of Lords. The Bill passed successfully.
