Strafford Act of Attainder

Fearing for his own security Charles I gave his assent to the Bill of attainder and Strafford was beheaded on Tower Hill on 12 May 1641. After the Restoration the attainder was reversed and his son William succeeded as the second Earl of Strafford.

This is the first membrane of the original Act for the Attainder of Thomas Earl of Strafford for High Treason.
