Introduction of the new Prince of Wales, 1715
The first Parliament of the reign of George I met on 17 March 1715. The first item of business concerned the Writ of Summons for the introduction of George I's son as the new Prince of Wales.
The letters patent for the new Prince had been issued in September 1714.
