Autograph Album presented to Inspector Denning

Eleazar Denning was a police officer who worked at parliament for a total of twenty-four years. Throughout his career he developed strong relationships with many MPs, Peers and colleagues around the building. Indeed, Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli regarded him with particular fondness and respect. In 1883 Inspector Denning was presented with this autograph album in recognition of his dedication and hard work. This illuminated certificate appears as the first page of the book and its ornate design represents the great respect and fondness many felt towards Eleazar Denning.
