Competition rules
The House of Lords and Hansard Society Raw Deal or Truth Told? Young people in the media competition closed on Friday 5 June 2009. Visit the competition dates section for information on the winners' day on 8 July.
The competition is open to all 11-16 year olds in the UK.
All entries must be submitted by groups, not individuals. Groups can be any size, but please bear in mind that only five students from each winning group will be invited on the trip to Parliament.
Written submissions: the maximum word limit is 750 words.
Audio/video submissions: the maximum length is three minutes.
All audio submissions must be in MP3 format and entrants must own copyright to all audio submitted. All audio participants/interviewees must sign a release form (pdf 45KB) (PDF) giving their consent to the audio being used.
All video submissions must be in MPEG format and entrants must own copyright to all audio and video submitted. All video participants/interviewees must sign a release form (pdf 45KB) (PDF) giving their consent to the footage being used.
All entrants must register their participation in the competition on the competition website before submitting an entry.
All entries must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 5 June 2009.
Entries must be emailed to citizenship@hansard.lse.ac.uk or posted to Michael Raftery, Hansard Society, 40-43 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1JA.
The Hansard Society and House of Lords accept no responsibility for lost or incomplete applications.
Entries may be published either online or in the printed media. Copyright for all entries will rest with the Hansard Society and House of Lords.
The Hansard Society and House of Lords will not enter into any correspondence about the results or individual entries.
