I was born in Nigeria and have worked at the House of Commons for 31 years. Being part of the Commonwealth means being part of a global community. The Queen is everyone’s mother – and I was named after her.

I feel safe working in Parliament. I was a single mother when I first started and the hours really suited me being a parent.

The customers are lovely and friendly.
