In-House Catering Services
I was an electrician and a member of a political party promoting justice and peace in Tanzania, when I decided to leave in 1995 for a new life in the UK.
I went to the University of Kent, studied theology and became a part-time Lutheran priest, preaching from St Anne’s Lutheran Church in London.
This means I spend my weekdays working in Parliament’s In-House Services department - and my weekends as chaplain to King’s College Hospital, where I counsel people bereaved by Covid, and doctors and nurses at the front line of the pandemic.
To me, the Commonwealth is important because it cherishes the same beliefs I held in Tanzania, of fairness and progress in all communities.
