My parents were born in Pakistan, so for me the Commonwealth means being associated with my roots and being proud of my culture and South Asian background. This needs to be celebrated and recognised to enable integration and acceptance of different ethnic backgrounds and countries.

I have worked in Parliament for seven years and I enjoy being among a diverse range of staff of various ethnicities and age ranges who are professional and polite. There is always something new to learn about the various departments within Parliament.
