I was born in India and was overawed when I joined the UK Parliament – there is definitely an element of prestige when I tell people this is where I work.

I enjoy engaging with people and making Parliament feel more accessible and approachable to all.

For me, the Commonwealth is a group of nations that collaborates on sports, culture and economic issues.
