David Morris MP

MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale

I spent the first 15 years of my life in Hong Kong (1969-73) and The Bahamas (1977-82), as my father, Captain Alan Morris, worked as Deputy Port Commissioner in the district of Lantau, Hong Kong, and as Director of Maritime Affairs in Nassau, The Bahamas.

I have been in Parliament 11 years, and these two countries are part of where I identify as home.

The nations of the Commonwealth are not that different, although we are situated across the globe from one another, and our rule of law and institutions are entwined.
