Senior Education and Engagement Outreach Officer

As a native Welsh speaker, I deliver a range of sessions to schools and community groups in Welsh and English to help them engage with UK Parliament.

I am a big sports fan and follow Wales passionately in football and rugby – and I really like the fact Wales can take part as its own nation in the Commonwealth Games.

One sporting memory that stands out is when Wales gained silver in the Men’s 4 x 400 metres relay final at the Manchester Commonwealth Games in 2002 – behind hot favourites England.

Roll on 16 years and I was cheering on my sister-in-law Caryl, who represented Wales in the 100 and 400 metre races at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Seeing the pride that all Welsh athletes have at being able to represent their nation on an international stage is incredible to see.
