Fair game? Lords consider competition regulation
On Tuesday 6 November, in the third evidence session of their inquiry into media convergence, the Lords Communications Committee will hear from Professor Martin Cave and Professor Tommaso Valletti.
Professors Cave and Valletti are both experts in competition regulation and have been economic advisors to Ofcom. Professor Cave is also the current Deputy Chair of the Competition Commission, though in this evidence session he will be speaking in a personal capacity.
The Committee will consider, in particular, the challenges raised by media convergence for the UK's current model of competition regulation.
The evidence session will take place at 3.30pm on Tuesday 6 November in Committee Room 2 of the House of Lords and will be webcast live at www.parliamentlive.tv.
The evidence session is also open to the public. Journalists wishing to attend should go to Parliament's Cromwell Green Entrance and should allow time for security screening.
