Lords explore proposal for reform to media regulation

In the second evidence session of their inquiry into media convergence, the Lords Communications Committee will hear from Tim Suter on Tuesday 30 October.

Mr Suter is a former BBC executive, Ofcom regulator and one-time Head of Broadcasting at DCMS.

The Committee will explore, in particular, issues raised by his evidence to the Leveson inquiry, in which he proposed reforms, in the light of convergence, not only to press regulation but to media regulation as a whole.

The evidence session will take place from 3.30pm on Tuesday 30 October in Committee Room 2 of the House of Lords and will be webcast live at www.parliamentlive.tv.

The evidence session is also open to the public. Journalists wishing to attend should go to Parliament's Cromwell Green Entrance and should allow time for security screening.
