Lords swaps debating Chamber for Digital Chamber
The House of Lords has today formally launched the House of Lords Digital Chamber, a new website designed to help the public engage directly with members, using a variety of social media tools
The Digital Chamber pulls together all the different social media platforms used by members and political groups in the Lords into one place. It means that whether they use Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or blogging sites, the public can see and respond to what members are saying in cyberspace as well as in the chamber.
The launch of the Digital Chamber is the latest in the Lords' suite of digital communications tools used by the House to let the public know what's happening in the Chamber, in its Committees and about the work of the House.
All of the content on the Digital Chamber is created by Members and are their own views and opinions, without editorial interference from the House of Lords Administration, and it is up to Members whether their feeds are included in the Digital Chamber or not. The Digital Chamber also includes the social media activity of the House of Lords, including our Facebook and Twitter feeds, as well as the accounts of the political parties in the House.
