Lords to hear from accountancy associations and NFU on Finance Bill


The House of Lords Finance Bill Sub-Committee will tomorrow take evidence from representatives of the ICAEW, ICAS and the ACCA as part of their inquiry into the 2014 Finance Bill.

The Committee are holding an inquiry into the 2014 Finance Bill with particular focus on the taxation of partnerships and the process of tax policy making since it was reformed by the government in 2010. 

The evidence sessions will start at 3:35pm on Wednesday 29 January in Committee Room 4A of the House of Lords. The full details are: 

3:35pm

  • Frank Haskew, ICAEW
  • Charlotte Barbour, Head of Taxation, Private Clients and Small Businesses, ICAS
  • Chas Roy-Chowdhury, ACCA.

4:30pm      Michael Parker, Head of Tax, NFU.

The session will be webcast at www.parliamentlive.tv and is also open to the public. Journalists wishing to attend should go to Parliament's Cromwell Green Entrance and should allow time for security screening.
