Lords Committee issues call for evidence in British Sign Language
The Call for Evidence of the Lords inquiry into the Equality Act 2010 is now available in British Sign Language.
The Lords Equality Act 2010 and Disability Committee has a remit to consider and report on the impact on people with disabilities of the Equality Act 2010. The Committee, as part of its drive to hear as many views as possible, is hoping to receive evidence from people with disabilities. Now a video of its call for evidence in BSL has been made available on its website.
Commenting on the video, the Chair of the Committee Baroness Deech, said:
“It's important that our Call for Evidence can reach as wide an audience as possible, and I'm delighted that we have been able to offer it in BSL. This will mean a greater number of people will be able to get involved in our inquiry, and a wider variety of views can be heard.”
