Lords Committee hears European Commission view on GM insect technologies
The House of Lords inquiry into GM insect technologies will hear from Dr Ladislav Miko, Deputy Director General of Health and Food Safety at the European Commission, in their final evidence session, on Tuesday 10 November.
The Lords Science and Technology Committee will question the Commission representative in order to establish the perspective from the Commission on GM insect technologies.
The evidence session, which will be held via video link, will cover areas such as current regulation of GM insects, the potential need for regulatory reform, how perceptions of GM insect technologies vary across different EU countries, and whether there is a need for public dialogue on the subject.
Dr Ladislav Miko, Deputy Director General of Health and Food Safety at the European Commission, will give evidence via video link at 10.40am.
Last week the Committee heard from two Government Ministers in their penultimate evidence session.

The Committee evidence session will take place, via video link, at 10.40am in Committee Room 4A in the House of Lords, on Tuesday 10 November.
