Lords to debate committee report on EU security strategy
The House of Lords will tomorrow, Tuesday 7 June, debate the report by the Lords EU Committee on the EU foreign and security strategy.
The report, ‘Europe in the world: Towards a more effective EU foreign and security strategy', was published in February 2016, and found that the EU should concentrate on tackling insecurity and instability in its wider neighbourhood as its main priority.
The report also covered EU policy towards Turkey, which it described as being in ‘disarray', policy towards Russia and the Baltic States, and the Middle East and North Africa.
