Lord Chief Justice to give evidence to Lords Constitution Committee

What progress has been made on judicial recruitment? How transparent is the justice system? What action is being taken to prevent IT systems failures in courts? Will Brexit result in an increase in litigation?

The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Burnett of Maldon, will give evidence to the House of Lords Constitution Committee on Wednesday 3 April.

Appearing at 10am in Committee Room 1, the Lord Chief Justice will be questioned on topics including:

  • Government relations and public understanding of the judicial system
  • Courts modernisation
  • Social media, technology and the future of justice
  • Brexit
