Brexit and UK space leadership: Lords to hear from The Aerospace Corporation

The House of Lords EU Internal Market Sub-Committee will hear from the authors of The Aerospace Corporation's recent paper on Brexit and UK space leadership at an evidence session on Thursday 6 June.  During the session the Committee and the witnesses will discuss the report further, and the impact of Brexit on the global space industry more widely.

Giving evidence at 10.10am, in Committee Room 4a, on Thursday 6 June will be:

  • Jamie Morin, The Aerospace Corporation
  • Robert S Wilson, Center for Space Policy and Strategy
  • Gina D Galasso, Vaeros Ltd

Questions are likely to include:

  • Should the UK prioritise maintaining close cooperation with EU space activities after Brexit, or strengthening cooperation with the globally-dominant US and China?
  • What will Brexit mean for the role of the UK Space Agency?
  • How has the paper been received by UK and international audiences?
  • Are there any implications of Brexit for the UK's space sector that you think are being overlooked?

The Aerospace Corporation report ‘What Brexit means for UK space leadership', can be found here.
