Lords EU Committee calls for closer look at UK-Israel and UK-Switzerland agreements
The House of Lords European Union Committee has today drawn the ‘special attention' of the House of Lords to two Brexit-related agreements: a trade agreement between the UK and Israel, and an agreement with the Swiss Confederation on citizens' rights.
The Committee has also highlighted the ‘patchwork nature' of the various agreements with Switzerland, which has made scrutiny more difficult, and the continuing need for consultation with the devolved administrations.
Today's report is the seventh of the EU Committee's reports on Brexit-related treaties, which have been laid before Parliament prior to ratification.
