Lords EU Committee to question Stephen Barclay in wake of ‘Super Saturday'
The House of Lords EU Committee will take evidence from DExEU Secretary Stephen Barclay MP on Monday 21 October.
The evidence session will follow the ‘Super Saturday' weekend sitting of both Houses of Parliament that will take place on Saturday 19 October when the House of Commons will be asked to approve the Government's exit deal agreed with the EU.
The evidence session will start at midday on Monday 21 October in Committee Room 3 of House of Lords.
Areas the session will cover include – the details of the deal that has been agreed and the implications for Northern Ireland, the fall out from the weekend sittings and next steps for Brexit, and whether the Prime Minister has sent or will send a letter to the EU requesting an extension to the Brexit deadline as set out in the Benn Act.
