Lords virtual proceedings to be streamed live on Parliamentlive.tv from tomorrow

The House of Lords Virtual Proceedings will be streamed live on www.parliamentlive.tv from tomorrow.

The move means that when the House next returns to business on Tuesday 28 April, Oral Questions, Private Notice Questions (Lords urgent questions), Ministerial Statements and Non-Legislative debates – all of which are being conducted entirely virtually over Microsoft Teams – will be streamed live on Parliament's broadcast channel.

Legislative business in the House of Lords continues to take place physically in the Chamber and will continue to be available to view at Parliament Live.

This will ensure all business in the Lords is available for the public and journalists to follow live as the House undertakes its important role of scrutinising legislation and holding the government to account.

This interim step comes before the expected move to a fully integrated system for broadcasting House of Lords Virtual Proceedings from 5 May.
