Lords Standards Commissioner publishes report into conduct of Lord Lea of Crondall

The independent House of Lords Commissioner for Standards, Lucy Scott-Moncrieff, has today published a report into the conduct of Lord Lea of Crondall. It is the fourth report under new provisions in the revised Code of Conduct which explicitly sets out that bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct are breaches of the Code of Conduct.

In her report the Commissioner finds that Lord Lea breached the Code of Conduct in relation to one complaint and that his behaviour amounted to bullying within the definitions of the Code.

The Commissioner has dealt with the complaint by way of remedial action through a letter of apology from Lord Lea to the complainant. This course was agreed by Lord Lea and the complainant.
