Lords quiz Catapult CEOs on science and technology innovation ambitions

Monday 14 December 2020

Tomorrow, the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee will question the CEOs of the UK’s nine innovation Catapult centres, to ask how they can help meet the Government’s research and development aims and support local development.

The Committee will continue its inquiry into the contribution of these independent technology and innovation centres, known as Catapults. This includes exploring how they can help to deliver the Government’s Research and Development Roadmap and contribute to the ‘levelling up’ agenda.

In this second week of evidence, the Committee will question the CEOs of all nine Catapults.  Members will ask whether enough “risky” innovation is supported and will investigate the barriers to collaborative research between industry, universities and the Catapults.

The session can be followed live at www.parliamentlive.tv from 10:15am tomorrow (Tuesday 15 December).
