How do we ensure a sustainable future for farming? Lords to ask experts
The House of Lords Committee on Food, Poverty, Health and the Environment will next week take evidence from experts on the impact of farming and the agri-food industry on the environment.
The Committee will take evidence across two sessions from 10:40am on Tuesday 25 February. Giving evidence will be:

In the first session the Committee will question the witnesses on whether we will need to change our diet to ensure food production remains sustainable, how far the agri-food industry is able to limit its impact on the environment and for their views on proposals to pay farmers for producing ‘public goods' such as environment improvements.
In the second session questions will include whether technological solutions can help achieve a more sustainable food system and what support food producers are given to reduce the environmental impact of their activities.
