  • Stephen Jones, Chief Executive Officer, UK Finance
  • William Nott, Chief Executive Officer, SYZ Asset Management.

Question both panels of witness are likely to be asked include:

  • How important is the EU market to your business?
  • What measures have you already taken to prepare for Brexit?
  • How important are the EU's equivalence decisions for your business?
  • How can the existing equivalence provisions for insurance be improved?
  • What are the risks and opportunities associated with the UK maintaining regulatory alignment or divergence from the EU in the future?

These evidence sessions, which are open to the public, will begin at 9.30am on Wednesday 26 February 2020 in Committee Room 4A of the House of Lords.

These evidence sessions are part of the Committee's work on the future of financial services after Brexit, which will consider matters such as the equivalence process and priorities for the future relationship with the EU.
