Is more trade the future for economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa? Lords Committee to ask experts
The House of Lords International Relations and Defence Committee will this week take evidence from international trade, development and governance experts as it explores the UK's relationship with Sub-Saharan Africa as well as the role of the African Union.
The sessions will cover the recent UK-Africa Investment Summit and the challenges to developing greater trade between the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the developing role and effectiveness of the African Union and its contribution to peace and security.
The evidence sessions will start at 10:40am on Wednesday 12 February in Committee Room 3 of the House of Lords. Giving evidence to the Committee will be:
