Lords Digital Technology and Democracy Committee evidence session cancelled

Due to the unavailability of witnesses from the political parties an evidence session of the Lords Digital Technology and Democracy Committee scheduled for tomorrow morning has been cancelled.

The political parties will instead be asked to submit written responses to the Committee's questions.

The second session of the day will go ahead as planned with evidence from:

11:30am

  • Dr Jennifer Cobbe, University of Cambridge
  • Christoph Schott, Campaign Director, Avaaz
  • Alaphia Zayab, Senior Campaigner, Avaaz

On Wednesday 26 February at 4pm the Committee will take evidence via video link from Professor Sarah Roberts and Professor Safiya Noble, Co-Directors of UCLA Centre for Critical Internet Inquiry. The session will focus on moderation practices of social media platforms and algorithmic design.
