Lords Committee to quiz minister on progress of UK-EU negotiations around security and justice
The House of Lords EU Security and Justice Sub-Committee will next week take evidence from James Brokenshire MP, Minister for Security, on the progress of UK-EU future relationship negotiations about criminal justice and security collaboration.
The session will examine what progress has been made regarding UK-EU future cooperation on security and criminal justice matters and whether the Government believes it is on course to meet its objectives. In particular, the Committee will ask about future UK access to EU criminal justice databases, collaboration on extradition, future security arrangements in Northern Ireland and what contingencies the Government has in place in the event of no deal.
The evidence session will be conducted on zoom and can be followed on Parliament TV from 10am on Tuesday 16 June. Giving evidence will be:
