Lords BBC future funding inquiry: how would changes to the BBC funding model affect other providers?

Later today representatives from Channel 4, ITV, and Sky will give evidence to the Lords Communications and Digital Committee inquiry into the future funding of the BBC.
These evidence sessions, which are open to the public, will be held in Committee Room 4A of the House of Lords and streamed live on Parliament TV.
Witnesses at 2.30pm:

- Adam Minns, Executive Director at COBA (Association for Commercial Broadcasters and On-demand services)
- Sebastian Enser-Wight, Chief Strategy Officer at Global.
Possible questions and areas for discussion with witnesses include:
- To what extent is the BBC’s purpose and programming different to other public service broadcasters and commercial providers?
- What impact could changes to the BBC’s funding model have on the marketplace?
- What are the main challenges around adapting to a more competitive future media environment?
