Suella Braverman to give evidence to Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee

Tuesday 13 December 2022

On Wednesday 21 December 2022, the House of Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee will be questioning the Home Secretary, the Rt. Hon. Suella Braverman KC MP.

The first half of the session is likely to focus on family migration and family separation that can result from family migration rules, which is the subject of the committee’s current inquiry. The second half is likely to cover topical matters falling under the Home Secretary’s portfolio. These could include: asylum policy, the accommodation of asylum-seekers, net migration statistics, police personnel, policing priorities, EU-UK police cooperation and Border Force strikes.

The session is open to those wishing to attend and will also be livestreamed on Parliament TV. A list of likely questions will be published beforehand.
