Behaviour change: M&S among experts to share insights with Lords committee
Monday 17 January 2022
What should the respective roles of business and government be on behaviour change to meet climate and environmental goals? How can they work together?
Those are likely questions when the House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee hears from behaviour change experts tomorrow (Tuesday 18 January at 10.00 a.m.) as it continues its inquiry into mobilising action on climate change and environment.
The committee will hear from:
- Faisal Naru, Executive Director, Policy Innovation Centre, Nigerian Economic Summit Group
- Professor Dame Theresa Marteau, Director of Behaviour and Health Research Unit, Cambridge University
- Carmel McQuaid, Head of Sustainability, Marks & Spencer
Other possible questions include:
- How do different groups of people respond to behaviour change initiatives and what are the implications for designing effective intervention?
- Are there policy approaches or instruments which governments should give greater consideration to when approaching behaviour change to meet climate and environmental goals?
- What would the panel recommend to the UK government about how it approaches behaviour change to meet climate and environmental goals?
The session will be live on Parliament TV.
