Lords Children and Family Act Committee to take evidence on employment rights

On Monday 20 June the House of Lords Select Committee on the Children and Families Act 2014 will continue its inquiry examining whether the Children and Families Act 2014 is fit for purpose.

The Committee will hear from campaigners, charities and experts in the field about rights to shared parental leave and statutory shared parental pay, created by the Children and Families Act 2014.

The public evidence sessions will take place at 3.15pm and 4.15pm (BST) on Monday 20 June 2022 and can be viewed live on Parliament TV.

The committee will hear from:

3:15pm

  • Joeli Brearley, Founder of Pregnant Then Screwed
  • Olga Fitzroy, Founder and campaigner at Parental Pay Equality.

4.15pm

  • Alexandra Hall-Chen, Senior Policy Advisor at Institute of Directors
  • Jane van Zyl, CEO at Working Families.
