Tomorrow (Thursday 3 March), the Chair of the House of Lords Sub-Committee on the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland, Lord Jay of Ewelme, will lead a debate in the House of Lords on the impact of the Protocol.
In tomorrow’s Question for Short Debate (QSD), Lord Jay will ask the Government “what assessment they have made of the impact of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland on recent political developments in Northern Ireland”. Several other members of the Committee will take part in the debate, as well as other members of the House with expertise in the Protocol and Northern Ireland affairs, including the former Brexit Minister, Lord Frost. Northern Ireland Office Minister Lord Caine will reply on behalf of the Government.
The debate takes place from 3:00-4:00pm and will be streamed live on Parliament TV.
