Lords to hear from businesses on mobilising action on climate change and the environment through behaviour change

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee will hold a business roundtable as part of its inquiry into meeting the Government’s climate and environmental goals through behaviour change tomorrow (Wednesday 9 March at 10 a.m.).
The aim of the roundtable is to explore the role of business to enable behaviour change in this regard and what Government might do to facilitate such action by businesses.
The committee will hear from:
- Hugo Spowers, Founder and Managing Director, riversimple
- Paul Ellis, Chief Executive, Ecology Building Society
- Trewin Restorick, Chief Executive Officer, Hubbub
- Angela Terry, Chief Executive Officer, One Home
- Professor Ken Peattie, Head of Marketing and Strategy, Professor of Marketing and Strategy, Cardiff Business School
Likely question topics include:
- The motivations for businesses to facilitate behaviour change
- How can businesses facilitate behaviour change
- The barriers facing businesses to offering green products and services
- Recommendations to the UK Government in how it approaches the role of businesses in behaviour change to meet climate and environmental goals.
