Lords to hear from Children’s Commissioners past and present on challenges facing children and young people

On Monday 5 September the House of Lords Select Committee on the Children and Families Act 2014 will continue its inquiry examining whether the Children and Families Act 2014 is fit for purpose.
The Committee will hear from both the former and current Children’s Commissioner on their reflections on the challenges facing children and young people, as well as the role of the Commissioner more broadly.
The Committee will also explore the issues surrounding Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) with a particular focus on children who are currently in care or who have left care.
The public evidence sessions will take place at 3.00pm (BST) on Monday 5 September 2022 in Committee Room 4, Palace of Westminster and can be viewed live on Parliament TV.
