Lords concludes inquiry into protected areas by hearing from Trudy Harrison MP

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee will conclude its short inquiry into protected areas on land and sea on Wednesday 3 May by hearing from Trudy Harrison MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Natural Environment and Land Use) in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The session begins at 10am and can be followed live on Parliament TV or in person in Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster.

Questions to the Minister will cover:

  • Protected areas for nature recovery and meeting 30 by 30
  • Monitoring existing SSSIs and establishing OECMs
  • Marine monitoring
  • Data collection and accessibility
  • Environmental land management schemes in protected areas.
