Dominic Raab to give evidence to Lords Constitution Committee

The House of Lords Constitution Committee will tomorrow be holding its annual evidence session with the Lord Chancellor, the Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP.
Topics that may arise include:
- Key priorities as Lord Chancellor during this parliamentary session
- The Lord Chancellor’s relationship with the rule of law
- The Bill of Rights Bill
- Funding for criminal and civil legal aid
- Support for the courts in the upcoming spring budget and capital spending on the courts estate
- Backlogs in the court system and judicial recruitment
- The effect of the Retained EU Law (revocation and reform) Bill on pensions for fee-paid judges
- Judicial diversity
