Mark Carney to appear before Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee will hear from Mark Carney, Co-Chair of Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ) and UN Special Envoy for Climate Action on budget day.

The one-off session on climate and nature finance will take place on Wednesday 15 March from 2pm.

It can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV or in person in the Palace of Westminster (committee room 4).

Questions from the committee will cover the following areas:

  • GFANZ and embedding climate considerations into finance more widely
  • Investment opportunities and creating a sustainable finance system
  • Lessons from financing climate for nature
  • The UK’s Green Finance Strategy
