International experts give evidence to Lords Electric Vehicles inquiry

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee continues its inquiry into Electric Vehicles (EVs), by hearing from international experts as it explores international perspectives on the transition to EVs.
The evidence session can be followed live on Parliament TV or in person in Committee Room 4, Palace of Westminster on Wednesday 20 September from 10am.
Giving evidence will be:
- Andreas Hedum, Senior Adviser in Environmental Affairs Section of the Ministry for Transport, Government of Norway;
- Frank Burmeister, Senior Expert on Electric Vehicles and Charging Infrastructure, Government of the Netherlands;
- Professor Benjamin Sovacool, Professor of Earth and Environment at Boston University (US), Founding Director of the Institute for Global Sustainability and Professor of Energy Policy at the University of Sussex Business School.
Topics the committee are likely to cover include:
- EV adoption;
- EV markets;
- Charging infrastructure;
- End-of-life disposal of EVs and battery recycling.
