Lords to quiz Sir Chris Bryant and other ministers on UK’s record on AI and creative tech scale-ups

The House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee will next week hold the final evidence session in its inquiry into AI and creative tech scale-ups.
The Committee will quiz Ministers Sir Chris Bryant MP, Baroness Gustafsson and Feryal Clark MP as it explores the government’s role in supporting AI and creative tech companies to grow in the UK.
Areas the session will cover include whether the government’s plans to unlock domestic growth are ambitious and bold enough to succeed, whether schemes to support UK scale-ups are properly designed to support AI and creative tech companies specifically and how the government will implement its forthcoming AI opportunities action plan.
The evidence session will start at 2:30pm on Tuesday 10 December in Committee Room 4 of the House of Lords. Giving evidence to the Committee will be:
- Sir Chris Bryant MP, Minister for Creative Industries, Arts and Tourism, Department for Culture, Media and Sport
- Feryal Clark MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for AI and Digital Government, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology
- Baroness Gustafsson OBE, Minister for Investment, Department for Business and Trade and HM Treasury
